We hope you will take a tour of our site and then comment. It would be a blessing to hear from you. Our main project these days is the work we are doing in India. It is a work that will keep us busy until Jesus comes. So much to do, so little time.

We would like to have your support for our ministries and need it desperately. We are currently beginning a Pastor Training Institute in India and will also begin some community development with the very poor tribal communities that our India partner organization ministers to. The organization is an association of 42 pastors who are doing a very good work for our Lord. We wish to contribute to their work by training the pastors who have no means of being trained. Even if a school was available for them to attend, they do not have the financial means to pay the tuition. Our goal is to provide tuition free training to worthy pastors in an ongoing Pastor Training Institute.

It will take about $250 per year to train a pastor in the fundamentals of doing the work of a pastor. We hope to train 33 men in the next two or three years. Then on an ongoing basis we will train as many pastors every two years as we have room for and money with which to fund them. We need your help. If the Lord leads you to help us, we would be eternally grateful.

Regarding the community development, many of these tribal villages have no adequate water supply. Some have shallow, holes in the ground that produces only very polluted water, some are supplied by government trucks, and some have to walk for miles to find a source and then walk back. The source may be a polluted creek, river, pond or drainage ditch. So GWM and IGM are undertaking to install deep wells, for the present, hand operated, in the villages and locate the well in the church yard for the community to come and get free, pure water. This will produce a very effective witness for our Lord, who gives the water of life freely to all who call upon his name. Each well will cost anywhere from $550 to $1000 depending on terrain, depth, and other factors. Your donation would be a very productive investment in the souls of those who come to drink and see the sign that it is provided freely by Jesus Christ. When a church provides water to make their lives healthier and easier, it will open the door to discuss the claims of Christ with them.

Good Word Ministries (GWM) is a ministry begun by Dr. Don Touchton intended to minister to those who have a genuine hunger for a word from God. In these times of watered down preaching, political correctness and fearful preachers the clear, faithful and understandable presentation of God�'s word is in short supply and never has it been more needed.

We do not claim to be the only source for plain, understandable and bold preaching and teaching, but we are certainly one of those who do provide it. Our name reveals our philosophy and strategy: a heavy heart is due, in large part, to a dearth, or ignorance of God's word. When it comes to the Word of God, ignorance is definitely not bliss; it is the source of bondage, frustration, fear and destructive behavior.

Jesus said, ". . .If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31,32) God�'s word is truth. God�'s word makes one free. God�'s word is the "good word" of Proverbs 12:25. But the word must be proclaimed in verity and faithfulness in order for it to be efficacious.

Since we must continue in His Word to be set free, it stands to reason that one must know His Word. One must hear, receive and understand the truth (the Word of God) to be made free. Men�'s philosophies and arrogant sophistries will not do the job. Psychology instead of clear instruction from the Word will not do the job. Making the message "user friendly," or "seeker friendly," will not do the job.

The Word should be taught as Jesus and HIs Apostles taught it, bold, frank, clear, unadulterated, uncompromising and fearless. Any other method will cloud the message, taint the truth and soften the impact the Word is supposed to have and so it will fail to free those stooped by the burden of sin and their own ignorance. Good Word Ministries believes everyone deserves to hear the truth unadulterated by the teacher�'s fears, ambition, desire for popularity, or lack of commitment to the truth he is supposed to be proclaiming.

Good� Word Ministries is devoted to� teaching the Word of God to the world through various media, as God helps us, in such a fashion that the message will not be mistaken. In the future, we will have our weekly column, a radio program, community Bible studies and books available for purchase as well as our continuing A Good Word For Today weekly column published locally and on this web site and going out by email to subscribers.

We are available to do exhaustive or abbreviated discipleship training, Evangelism Conferences and Outreach Development Programs, Bible Conferences and Revivals. These services are at no cost to the church except such costs as involves their own expenses in supplies and materials.
